Scheme was handed £825m bailout in December - but wanted £1.1bn

Crossrail is still forecasting costs above its available funding envelope of £18.6bn, according to Transport for London papers.

According to documents published in relation to TfL’s Elizabeth Line committee meeting at the end of last month the extra funding handed to the project last year was still at risk of not being enough.
