Spurs pitch laid but club still keeping mum on opening date

Local council says it has not yet been given dates of rescheduled test events

Work to lay Tottenham Hotspur’s new pitch has been completed with a lighting system installed to help the grass bed in.

Mace began overseeing the work began last Monday with the pitch taking up to four bed weeks to bed in – although it is playable after a fortnight.
